    The History Of the Hundred League<\/h2>\n

    In 2016, the England and Wales Cricket Board also known as ECB launched the Hundred League. It was launched to attract more audiences with simplified rules to keep their interest in it. In 2021, the first edition of the 100 ball cricket league took place where eight teams competed against each other for the trophy. In total there were 16 teams that made 2 teams for each franchise, one for men and the other for women. The matches consist of single innings and 100 balls are allowed in each innings. A bowler can ball for 10 consecutive balls after this the change occurs and an individual is allocated 20 balls for bowling in a single inning. The squads are advised to recruit at least 5 new players who were not in the previous squad. The players that are retained can be domestic or international players. However, the squads can only retain two players who are in contract with the England team. More than two England contracted players are not allowed to be retained by the teams.
