The Caribbean Premier League came into being in 2013. Before CPL, the tournament for T20 format in West Indies was Caribbean Twenty20. The CPL replaced that championship. Local and international, both players are added into the six teams they play against each other in this league. Many CPL records have been set by players since 2013. CPL 2013 results – Jamaica Tallawahs
The 2013 season of Caribbean Premier League was the first season of the league and it was won by Jamaica Tallawahs. It was played on 24th August 2013. The teams that were involved were Jamaica Tallawahs and Guys Amazon Warriors. The stadium for this match was Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad and the toss was won by Jamaica Tallawahs who decided to field for the first inning. They won the tournament by making 129 runs with a loss of 3 wicket whereas Guyana Amazon Warriors made a total of 128 runs with a cost of 5 wickets.
CPL 2014 results – Barbados Tridents
The Caribbean Premier League which occured in 2014 was won by Barbados Trident. It was played on 16th August 2014. The teams that were involved were Barbados Tridents and Guyana Amazon Warriors. The stadium for this match was Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts and the toss was won by Guyana Amazon Warriors who decided to field for the first inning. Barbados Tridents won the tournament by making 152 runs with a loss of 6 wicket whereas Guyana Amazon Warriors made a total of 107 runs with a cost of 4 wickets.
CPL 2015 results – Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel
The season which took place in 2015 of Caribbean Premier League was won by Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel. It was played on 26th July 2015. The teams that were involved were Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel and Barbados Tridents. The stadium for this match was Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad and the toss was won by Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel who decided to bat for the first inning. Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel won the tournament by making 178 runs with a loss of 5 wicket whereas Barbados Tridents made a total of 158 runs with a cost of 4 wickets.
CPL 2016 results – Jamaica Tallawahs
The 2016 season of the League was won by Jamaica Tallawahs. This was their second title. It was played on 7th August 2016. The teams that were involved were Jamaica Tallawahs and Guyana Amazon Warriors. The stadium for this match was Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts and the toss was won by Jamaica Tallawahs who decided to bat for the first inning. Jamaica Tallawahs won the tournament by making 95 runs with 43 balls remaining and a loss of 1 wicket whereas Guyana Amazon Warriors made a total of 93 runs.
CPL 2017 results – Trinbago Knight Riders
On 9th September 2017, the finale of the Caribbean Premier League took place. It was held in Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. This final match day was played between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders. The toss was won by Trinbago Knight Riders and they elected to bat in the first inning. They emerged as victors of the championship in 2017. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots made 135 runs at the cost of six wickets and Trinbago Knight Riders made 136 runs and won by six remaining balls with a loss of seven wickets.
CPL 2018 results – Trinbago Knight Riders
On 16th September 2018, the finale of the Caribbean Premier League took place. It was held in Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. This CPL final match was played between Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors. The toss was won by Trinbago Knight Riders and they elected to bat in the first inning. They emerged as victors of the championship in 2018. Guyana Amazon Warriors made 147 runs at the cost of 9 wickets and Barbados Trident made 150 runs and won by 15 remaining balls with a loss of 2 wickets.
CPL 2019 results – Barbados Tridents
On 12th September 2019, the finale of the Caribbean Premier League took place. It was held in Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. This final match date was played between Barbados Trident and Guyana Amazon Warriors. The toss was won by Barbados Trident and they elected to bat in the first inning. They emerged as victors of the championship in 2019. Guyana Amazon Warriors made 144 runs at the cost of 9 wickets and Barbados Trident made 171 runs and won by twenty-seven runs with a loss of 6 wickets.
CPL 2020 results – Trinbago Knight Riders
On 10th September 2020, the finale of the Caribbean Premier League took place. It was held in Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. This final match of series was played between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Zouks. The toss was won by Trinbago Knight Riders and they elected to bat in the first inning. Trinbago Knight Riders emerged as victors of the championship in 2020. St Lucia Zouks made 154 runs and Trinbago Knight Riders made 157 runs and won by 8 wickets.
CPL 2021 results – St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
On 15th September 2021, the finale of the Caribbean Premier League took place. CPL final 2021 was held in Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. This final match of series was played between St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and St Lucia Kings. The toss was won by St Lucia Kings and they elected to bat in the first inning. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots emerged as victors of the championship in Caribbean Premier League 2021. St Lucia Kings made 159 runs at the cost of seven wickets and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots made 160 runs and won by 3 wickets.
