Gujarat Titans is basically the new Ahmedabad franchise that was introduced in 2021. It is centered in Ahmedabad cricket ground, Gujarat, India. The Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) is where the Titans play. Gujarat Titans’ home field is Motera’s Narendra Modi Stadium, which opened in 2021. Ashish Nehra, a former Indian pacer, has been hired as the team’s head coach by the new IPL team headquartered in Ahmedabad. While former South African cricketer Gary Kirsten has been named Ahmedabad’s trainer for the Tata IPL 2022, Nehra will oversee the team as a whole. The team starts the new season with a match against CSK. Check out CSK vs GT match prediction and place a bet.
A few rumors about Kirsten being hired as the head coach surfaced earlier, but Ahmedabad’s announcement of the coaching staff disproved every one of them.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India permitted a trio of companies or individuals to submit a joint bid for each franchise. A British private equity and investment advising firm, CVC Capital Partners, won the right to manage the Ahmedabad facility with a bid of Rs. 5,625 crore (US$700 million). The Ahmedabad franchise was awarded to CVC Capital Partners in an auction held in Dubai in October 2021.
Moreover, the CVC Capitals-owned Vikram Solanki, a former England batsman, was also hired by Ahmedabad to serve as the Director of Cricket operations.
The team chose Hardik Pandya as Gujarat captain before the IPL 2022 mega auction. Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan were both chosen by the franchise. The team’s next match will be against the Rajastan Royals on April 16. Check out the GT vs RR match prediction and bet on the outcome.

Gujarat Titans History
2021:
The new Ahmedabad franchise “Gujarat Titans” was introduced in 2021. In August 2021, the Indian Premier League’s Governing Council invited bidders to submit proposals for two more IPL tournament teams. There were a total of 22 companies that expressed interest, but only six were serious bidders due to the new teams’ high base price.
The owner of the franchise became CVC Capital Partners. Ashish Nehra is the team’s coach, and Hardik Pandya serves as the team’s captain.
2022:
On February 9, 2022, the Ahmedabad franchise announced the Gujarat Titans as the name of its cricket team.
The first season for the new Gujarat cricket team was going well. The team was captained by former Mumbai Indians player Hardik Pandya, who was able to lead the Gujarat Titans team and lead it to first place in the IPL tournament. The Gujarat Titans played 14 matches during the season, 10 of which ended in victory for the Titans. In the final, the Gujarat Titans defeated the first IPL winner Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets.
Gujarat Titans Players List 2023
Gujarat Titans kept players like Hardik Pandya as Ahmedabad IPL team captain and selected Rashid Khan, a world-class spinner, before the IPL 2023 mini auction.
The franchise entered the huge event with a ipl prize purse of 19.25 Crores thanks to Shubman Gill, the third retention for the team. Here’s the Gujarat cricket team players list who participated in the auction and got selected for the role.
While the Gujarat Titans have done a great job of acquiring foreign talent as Gujarat players, their Indian batting is inexperienced and lacks a solid foundation with Hardik playing the finisher position. Rahul Tewatia was acquired for the astronomical sum salary of INR 9 crore, and the Gujarat cricket team also acquired Vijay Shankar, another all-rounder, for 1.4 Crore.
Alzarri Joseph, who recently performed exceptionally well against India, was added to the Gujarat player list, while youthful seamer Yash Dayal will serve as Shami’s backup in the team’s IPL roster. Sai Kishore, a former spinner with the Chennai Super Kings IPL team, drew a lot of attention after it became the champion of both the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the 2021–22 season.

Gujarat Titans IPL Captain 2023
Hardik Himanshu Pandya (11 October 1993) presently serves as captain of the Gujarat Titans, a established team in 2022 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), is an Indian cricketer who competes for the Baroda cricket team in domestic competitions as well as the India national cricket team internationally. He is a right-handed right-arm fast-medium bowler and all-rounder. Cricket player Krunal Pandya is his older sibling.
Since 2013, Pandya has competed for the Baroda cricket team. He was a key contributor to Baroda’s 2013–14 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy victory. He scored 86 runs not out during his innings in January 2016 to lead the Baroda cricket team to a six-wicket victory over the Vidarbha cricket team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Cup match. He hit eight sixes during that period.
From 2015 to 2021, Pandya participated in the IPL tournament with the Mumbai Indians. He struck 61 runs off 31 balls to help Mumbai Indians defeat Kolkata Knight Riders in a game they had to win to stay in the playoff hunt, giving him his team’s second man of the match award of the year.
The Mumbai Indians released Pandya prior to the IPL 2022 mega auction. He was later chosen as the team’s captain by the Gujarat Titans, a new Ahmedabad franchise. In 2022, he captained Gujarat to their first IPL championship, making him the first captain since Shane Warne to do so.
